Travel by Bike

Rather than walk, you may prefer cycling which is a great way to get around the local area, and there is no limit to how far your bike can take you

Cycle is also a zero-carbon form of transport, helps build muscle and is linked to improved heart and lung capacity. It can also save time as you filter through the traffic and avoid the queues during the commuting peak hours!

There are a wide range of destinations that are within 30-minute cycle of your new home, including Yarm, Eaglescliffe and Ingleby Barwick.

Further afield, it only takes approximately 40-minute to cycle to Stockton town centre and you can park your bike securely for free at The Hub on Stockton High Street (08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday). Pedal power!

The Hub also offer FREE Bike MOTS, Maintenance Courses and Road Cycle Guidance, so why not pop in and talk to the staff.

If you are looking to purchase a new bike, fix your neglected bike or purchase cycle accessories, why not have a look at our ‘Offers’ page which contains discount vouchers for all residents in St Martin’s Green. Alternatively, you may wish to purchase a bike via your employer’s ‘Cycle to work’ scheme.
